if sunlight fell into my universe this second
it would light upon
hidden languages
old constructed catacombs and surfaces

it would light upon
thoughts and
words piled high
like boxes

because looking at you
feels so much like kissing
so much so that i stop
meeting your gaze

yet there you are again
tipping up smiles
walking into my mind
your heart in your eyes

and time stops
just like that

so i learn a new language
i rearrange another box
and wait for the sun to
wane into night.
